Canon Law
Education
While studying theology I became interested in canon law topics. After taking my degree in theology I therefore studied canon law and received the Licentiate in Canon Law an der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität in Münster, afterwards the doctorate.
Profession
Since October 2010 I am "Juniorprofessor" (a German particularity) for Canon Law at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Before that I worked as a scientific assistant at the Canon Law Institute at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität. Before doing that I filled a likewise position at the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. To gain more insight into Canon Law practice I work as a part time defensor vinculi at the Archdiocesan Tribunal of Cologne.
